Since the first gallery opened in 2006, ZFolio's goal has been to offer their customers handcrafted treasures of exceptional quality and design. With three locations in Santa Barbara, Solvang and Monterey, California as well as a full e-commerce website, and representing over 100 American and international artists, ZFolio is more than shopping, it is an experience.
As you walk through the door the mundane disappears. Attention sharpens. You are surrounded by beauty, light dancing off polished art glass, designs you have never seen before. There is smoothing fresh and unique at every glance: an award winning collection of contemporary designer jewelry, art glass sculptures, brilliant images of nature and the sea plus artistic gifts for any budget. Beauty is more than an object, it is an experience, and that experience draws discriminating clients to ZFolio again and again.

Voted top retailer of designer jewelry in the United States for the second year in a row, ZFolio features the work of some of the leading jewelry designers in the world including Alex Šepkus, Atelier Munsteiner, Etienne Perret, Sarah Graham, Barbara Heinrich, Elizabeth Garvin, Magick Fusager Design, Bernd Wolf, Ed Levin, Jorge Revilla, Paula Crevoshay, Mark Schneider, Eddie Sakamoto, Sydney Lynch, Tom Kruskal and many others, along with artists working in contemporary art glass, wood, ceramics, large photographic prints, one-of-a-kind creations for collectors and for the home. Museum quality contemporary art glass by Czech and American artists include the works of Bohumil Elias, Jaromir Rybak, Pavel Havelka, Moser, Paul D. Harrie, Stephen Schlanser, Kliss Glass and Gartner-Blade.

Meet the founders

Fairytales do come true… Raised is a small farming village behind the iron curtain, Zdena Jiroutova of ZFolio with her husband and business partner Michael Mendizza have taken the entrepreneurial spirit to heart.

In 2006 Z and Michael opened their first retail location in Solvang, the Danish capital of America, in the heart of the Santa Barbara wine country. In 2009 they launched their second location on Cannery Row in Monterey. Remarkably, in 2013-2014, ZFolio was voted Best Retailer of Designer Jewelry in the United States by the design community, an honor repeated in 2014-2015. Also applauding their success are awards from the local Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, Pacific Coast Business Times and Women's Economic Ventures.

Their newest and most ambitious offering is a sophisticated e-commerce website featuring jewelry, contemporary art glass, Michael's large format photography and art for the home.
