Time for some holiday spirit (so to speak) with the Julefest Wine & Beer Walk Skål Stroll plus Gløgg Contest this weekend! It’s cheer-fully happening this year on Saturday, December 15 and Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. both days. You can stroll about downtown and sip local wines and beers from 18 tasting rooms—plus taste Gløgg (mulled wine) recipes at many of the stops, then vote for your favorite. Tickets are only $45 per person for the 2-day passport including a souvenir wine glass (you must be 21 years+ naturally for this adult activity). It’s such an incredible value! Julefest (pronounced Yule-fest, Danish for Christmas Fest) has so many activities including the Nativity Pageant (Saturday, 12/15/18, at 5pm and 7pm at Solvang Festival Theater--free admission for live show with choir); free visits with Santa in Solvang Park on 12/15 & 12/22, plus Shop, Mingle & Jingle retail therapy at over 150 independent boutiques and stores. Don’t miss the free Nisse Adventure treasure hunt (thru 1/6/19, get your free map at the Visitors Center); Free Candlelight Tours (12/15 & 22 at 5:30pm in Solvang Park); Shop, Mingle & Jingle Weekends with free live entertainment; and concluding with the Christmas Tree Burn Safety Demo at Old Mission Santa Ines (1/4/19).
