Group Tour Services
Solvang welcomes group tour planners, motor coach operators and travel agents! There is so much to see and do here that is equally enjoyable for individuals as well as groups for a day, overnight or week-long stay in the Danish Capital of America. We are committed to providing detailed and specific information, referrals, assistance in creating itineraries, and promotional materials free of charge. Plus, Solvang provides FREE parking not only for cars but also a specially designated FREE bus parking area in the center of the village—within easy walking distance of all major attractions, shopping, dining and activities.
Step-on Guides
A staff member of the Visitors Bureau will be pleased to welcome you and your group upon arrival—and if requested, for a nominal fee, step-on and provide a guided tour or lecture about the area. Please let us know how best to welcome you!
Planning & Site Selection
By request, Bureau staff will assist you with RFP (Requests for Proposals) and will obtain availability and rate information from our local hotels, restaurants, meeting venues, sites and service providers.
Familiarization Tours
The Bureau is pleased to offer information on Familiarization Tours (FAMs) available throughout the year for travel planners. Please contact us if you are interested in visiting the Solvang and the Santa Ynez Valley.
Customized Tour Itineraries
Bureau staff will be happy to provide ideas and contacts for customized events and theme parties. We will also make suggestions for unusual venues, tours, activities and entertainment ideas featuring our local attractions. Samples of our unique tours include a visit to an authentic Danish bakery or chocolate shop; a behind-the-scenes glimpse at Solvang Festival Theater’s PCPA Theaterfest, a visit to a horse ranch, ostrich farm or lavender farm or even a cook’s tour through our weekly Wednesday Farmer’s Market followed by a cooking demonstration.
Promotional Materials
Digital photos via email or CD; 30-second promotional video; a DVD on how to make aebleskiver (Danish pancake balls); plus free copies of our annual full-color Visitors Guide and Walking Map are available through the Bureau.
