Driving Directions
- Take US-101 N (signs for Ventura Fwy/Ventura)
- Continue north for approximately 135 miles
- In Buellton take exit 140A for CA-246 toward Lompoc/Solvang
- At the top of ramp, turn right onto CA-246 E and continue 3 miles to Solvang.
- Take US-101 S. Travel approximately 295 miles south.
- Take the Solvang/Lompoc Exit 140 A - CA 246, turn left. Travel three miles to Solvang.

Located within California's Central Coast in northern Santa Barbara County, Solvang is just 35 miles (56 km) from oceanfront Santa Barbara, 125 miles (201 km) up the coast from Los Angeles and 300 miles (483 km) south of San Francisco.
The region is easily accessible via US Highway 101 (north to Santa Maria and San Francisco and south to Santa Barbara and Los Angeles) as well as State Highway 154 (north-south to/from Santa Barbara) and State Highway 246 (east-west to/from Buellton/Solvang/Santa Ynez).
Parking is FREE everywhere throughout Solvang including free day-time parking for RVs and tour buses.
Amtrak offers daily connecting Amtrak Thruway Motor Coach service to downtown Solvang (bus stop at 1630 Mission Drive) from Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo.
Santa Ynez Airport (IZA), five miles from downtown Solvang, is a publicly owned facility for private aircraft with general aviation services.
Full-service general aviation, corporate and public facilities are at Santa Barbara Municipal Airport (SBA) 30 miles south with more than 70 commercial flights daily.
